Handmade Main Dish Bowl 21cm
Featuring the distinctive "kakewake" (hanging glaze) technique, where the glaze naturally flows and settles to create unique colour transitions that reveal the warm, earthy clay beneath. The exposed base is intentionally left unglazed, showcasing Shigaraki ware's signature "hi-iro" (fire colour) — iron-rich clay fired at approximately 1300°C that naturally produces captivating terracotta hues.
Its 21cm size is ideal for everyday family meals, weekend brunches, or entertaining guests. The warm, earthy tones and natural texture embody Japanese wabi-sabi aesthetics
As each piece is individually handmade, every bowl is unique with slight variations in colour, texture, and form.
